Dr. Helen Caldicott is the founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility, and a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. She has devoted the last 30 years to an international campaign to educate the public about the medical hazards of the nuclear age.

Dr. Caldicott demonstrates conclusively that the notion of nuclear survival is a fantasy, and that nuclear victory is an oxymoron. The evidence she presents stands to alert and mobilize millions of young people, helping them to understand the planetary threat posed by an aggressive weapons industry in a volatile world.

"Dr. Helen Caldicott has the rare ability to combine science with passion, logic with love, and urgency with humour...At the dark dawn of another war without end, it is once again time to listen up as she sounds the global alarm." - Naomi Klein, author of
